For groups as well as for the individual traveller we develop and arrange active holidays, such as walking tours, cycling tours, jeep tours, sailing tours, caving tours, etc. Our caving tours are organised in close co-operation with the experts of the Greek Association of Speleologists. Lake KerkiniLake Kerkini and the adjacent mountain Belles, are located 100 km north of Thessaloniki. The lake was generated in 1932 by the dam in the Strimonas River. The area is a protected wetland for over 40 years now because of its high biodiversity in both the shallow lake and the forests around.
The environmentalist Yiannis Reklos with a minimum of financial support made an environmental center including traditional accommodation. He provides 1 to 5 days multiple activity programs, including landscape observations, lake tours, 4x4 tours and walking and biking tours. He also has youngsters training programmes. All his programmes include briefings as to increase environmental awareness. |
